“A Strange Garbed Figure to the Right of Clearing” is a homage to late-night paranormal radio shows in Hong Kong. The EP is intended to be listened to as a whole and its tracks are interwoven with mysterious investigative segments in Cantonese. Each track is an auditory study into bizarre crimes and phenomena that occurred in the city.

Fuzzy harsh drones, granulated dialogue, pitched down polyrhythmic percussion, transporting the listener into the unknown, until the show disintegrates and is finally possessed by a spectral entity...

Hans Lo works on audio-visual projects under the alias 'Unk’. Based in Cornwall, he has been developing his sound practice with improvised noise/drones and percussive modular compositions. Using his commercial skills as a filmmaker and animator, Hans is building a narrative world by exploring how our bodies respond to the metaphysical unknown.
