about

Brighton-born La Leif pulls sounds from real life and loops them against ecstatic synths and decisive bass to form soundtracks from the world around her. Influences include Karen Gwyer, Laurel Halo and Holly Herndon.

“Takes the DIY ethic to new heights and contains a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs. It’s experimental electronic music which mixes loops from everyday life with soaring synths and undulating basslines to produce something evocative and much more than the sum of its parts. It’s also another blow to those chumps who insist that electronic music is somehow cold and unemotional” (The VPME).
