about

Keep on making something,
Tolling like the bell on a lightship,
Tolling like the bell on a buoy,
And always out at sea...

The sea here inside of Kintyre and Arran and on up the Firth of Clyde; at Crackington Haven and out South and West to Scilly; at Scarborough and Whitby; whipped over the concrete sea wall and the road on the Malecón, Centro Habana; at Lisbon and around the South-West of Portugal; at Bergen (and on the way up to Bergen on the plane); the icy Øresund between Malmö and Copenhagen; bits and pieces muddled up in my brain of 'Cities of the Red Night' by William Burroughs, 'To The Lighthouse' by Virginia Woolf, 'The Subtle Knife' by Phillip Pullman; and too much music to name.

Seafaring places are seafaring places,
And home is a long way from home.

All proceeds donated to the Refugee Council (www.refugeecouncil.org.uk). Thank you for listening.

"Found sounds, a oneness with nature and an almost one-man-band ambiance from one with the daring to release record after record by himself, and hand-picked by others since 2009, without caring whether there's an audience for any of them."

Alan Clayson for The Beat magazine (June 2022)
